9/8/2023 0 Comments Popclip debian![]() ![]() Sometimes PopClip will fail to appear, and other times copying and pasting text will behave oddly. PopClip works only erratically with Google Docs. When viewing PDFs in Preview in High Sierra (10.13) and Mojave (10.14), PopClip will not work. OnLive may crash if you use it while PopClip is running. But you can add Word to PopClip's excluded apps list and trigger PopClip with the keyboard shortcut if needed. This is actually a strange glitch in Word, which PopClip only triggers, and I'm afraid I can't fix this from the PopClip side. In Word, text may be copied to the clipboard if you press delete or start typing after selecting text. Workaround: Disable LaunchBar's ClipMerge feature. This results in a "click" sound when selecting text with PopClip in some apps. PopClip sometimes triggers LaunchBar's ClipMerge feature. ![]() Workaround: Disable Alfred's Clipboard Merging feature (uncheck "Fast append selected text"). This results in a "purr" sound when selecting text with PopClip in some apps. PopClip sometimes triggers Alfred's Clipboard Merging feature. Update using the "Update Google Chrome" button in top right of toolbar. Symptom: Chrome opens up a new blank window when activating PopClip features.įix: Chrome has a bug where it does this if there is an update waiting. Application-specific issues Application Name They may work in some parts but not others, or there may be some glitches. Most Java-based applications tend to struggle with PopClip. Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and all other Adobe apps.(List was correct the last time each app was tested, and is not an exhaustive list.) This means that PopClip will not appear when you select text in the application. The following software is not compatible with PopClip. Incompatible software (PopClip won't work in the app) ![]() Please note that any other software which changes the default mouse pointers will also likely interfere with PopClip. If you are running the following apps, then PopClip may work intermittently or not at all on your Mac: Incompatible software (stops PopClip working entirely) Use the "+" button add PopClip again to the "Allow the apps below to control your computer" list. In the list "Allow the apps below to control your computer", highlight PopClip and then remove it using the "-" (minus) button. Go to System Preferences → Privacy → Acccessibilityģ. So I would paste plus Question for – I would like to append to the text the markdown-formated URL of the source webpage. If you check the Advanced Obsidian URI documentation there is a very robust set of options for configuring the URL. ![]() This version of the snippet will append the selected text to the “daily note” within a heading section of that note named Clippings. Url: obsidian://advanced-uri?vault=&daily=true&heading=Clippings&data=%0A***&mode=append (Note, the %0A string means add a new line before pasting.) This example puts the text in the “daily note” (configured in Obsidian settings), in a header section named “Clippings”.(A macOS folder that you have configured as a vault in Obsidian.) The vault name must be URL-encoded. You must know the name of the destination “vault” in Obsidian.The Advanced Obsidian URI community plug-in for Obsidian must be installed.This extension snippet will copy and insert the current selection in a document or web page to Obsidian. ![]()
